The rating has to do with the Fédération Internationale de l’Automobile (FIA) who GT Sport has partnered with.They are, basically, responsible for all professional racing around the world. It’s a scoring system the game uses to rank drivers according to ability.
DR is usually determined by Driver Points, but a low Manner Points value can prevent a player to reach a DR rank. If you’re looking for a highly focused console racing sim, GT Sport is excellent, but don’t come looking for a robust "Gran Turismo" experience.Given the focus on online races, the single-player campaign is more an elaborate training tool than any campaign from a prior GT game, geared to prepare you for the jump to racing online. On 8 August, the Manufacturer Series - Stage 3 of the 'FIA Gran Turismo Championships' 2020 drew to a close. Finish below that halfway point and your DR should decrease, by more and more the lower you finish.This isn’t always the case however.
