I ordered this book after reading 'Gold Diggers' by Charlotte Gray but the book was more documentary as this one, yet very informative regarding the gold rush in Dawson City 1886-1889 and the life stampeders lived during the rush. Interesting pictures and captions. I know what it is like to function at -40, and to see pictures of greenhorns gong into an unknown hostile environment "not knowing what they were getting into" is a history lesson all should see.
