Tigertail is undoubtedly a step towards that direction. I was attracted by the trailer when I saw it on Netflix, but I checked out the rating here (6.4), yes I'm those people who kind of trust in ratings, so I turned to another movie. This film manages to create a really unique atmosphere, with leaps in the narrative timeline between two stories. Although Netflix's Tigertail may be more realistic than Mood, it captures a middle-aged Ping Jui (Tzi Ma) romanticizing his past as he struggles to connect with his estranged daughter, Angela (Christine Ko) in the present. It was released on April 10, 2020, by Netflix. Community. Even though the story telling is a little thin & uneven, that can seem to drag on a little; the deep emotions, themes, and performances outweighed the negatives just enough for this film to be decent enough for a watch.

To me, the spoken Taiwanese, the rice fields, the Taiwanese house courtyards, the nightmarkets, the obligatory piano playing are all a jumbulaya of nostalgia for me. When I first knew about this film I got quite excited since my parents immigrated as well. . Every aspect complimented one another. I'm hungry now, Wa be ki ja bung. From the few scenes of his childhood and his early adulthood where he often visited nightclubs to dance to Yao Su-Yong's songs, we can see that he was free, adventurous, unrestrained, and fun loving.

It takes a special breed of person to take upon this burden. Certainly not the type of entitled brats who so easily criticize the accents of the actors. If your Asian actors can't be bothered to imitate a Taiwanese accent or you can't hire a dialect coach to train them, at least dub their lines for chrissakes.
